Blogger has this glitch in it where if you have a private blog, updates are not sent to your readers' dashboards. That means you never know if a private blog is updated unless you log in, type in the blog address and check it out. The same issue happens with people who are authors on blogs (which all of you are to the BL blog, which is private). This problem makes it so that people who follow many blogs forget to check the private ones. For example, I haven't read Rich and Nichole's blog since it went private because I don't get updates in my Blogger Dashboard).
To fix this problem, people have begun creating public "update blogs." Basically, this is a blog that you can follow, and whose updates WILL appear in your dashboard since it's public. On it, I will put up posts that say things like "Weigh-in's are in for this week, and we have some new Mega Prizes to give out! Find out who won!" You'd then click on the link (the Find out part, which is not actually a link here) and it would take you to the new post on the private blog. You don't have to subscribe to this blog if you don't want to. Mostly, it's just convenient for people who actually use Blogspot for more than Biggest Loser. :)
